1950s Swiza Brass Candlestick Clock Quartz Converted C3 Lume Swiss Vintage

A charming 1950s Swiza Swiss vintage clock, made from brass and styled like a small candlestick or chamberstick. This original mechanical Swiza clock has been sympathetically converted to a modern quartz movement, making it far more practical for everyday use while retaining its vintage character and decorative appeal. The clock now runs from a 1.5V LR1 lithium battery, making it low maintenance, accurate and almost silent in operation. The original hands have been carefully refinished with a fresh coat of C3 luminous paint, giving them a lovely glow in low light for several hours after exposure to light. The clock stands approximately 5 inches tall. Please note: there is no alarm function. The original mechanical version would have had an alarm, but this has been removed as part of the quartz conversion. The original rear caseback and alarm fittings have been retained for cosmetic authenticity only. The caseback is now simply a press-fit cover, used to hide the modern quartz movement. The brass case has an attractive aged patina with age-related marks, tarnishing and surface wear, all consistent with a vintage item of this type.
